TAKE YOUR COURSE ONLINE
If you’re wondering how to get your first time driver’s license in Oklahoma, we’re here to help. The state requires you to complete a Driver’s Ed Online course before you can take your driver’s permit test. We have designed a course that is entirely online, so you can have fun fulfilling your requirements and work on it whenever it is convenient for you.
TYPES OF LICENSES IN OKLAHOMA
There are 4 types of driver’s licenses in the state of Oklahoma: A, B, C, and D. As a teen, the first-time driver’s license you will be applying for is a Class D Oklahoma driver’s license. This type of license allows you to drive an automobile or passenger truck.
For teens under the age of 18, they will be earning what’s called a graduated Oklahoma driver’s license. This means that once a teen driver earns their Class D license, they will be required to follow certain restrictions for one year.
If you’re 15 1/2 years of age, you can start down the licensing path by obtaining an Oklahoma driver’s license permit. This requires the completion of a driver’s education course, passing your permit test, and holding on to your learner’s permit for 6 months.
All first-time drivers under the age of 18 are required to pass the Oklahoma permit exam and hold their driver’s permit for a minimum of 6 months before they are eligible to take the driver’s license test.
This teen Oklahoma Driver’s Ed online course is approved by the DPS throughout the state, so it meets all the requirements that are necessary for you to take your permit exam.
