Does your online Drivers Education Course satisfy DMV requirements?

While most online Drivers Ed courses have not yet been officially approved by your state, most courts and DMV offices will approve our course as an acceptable alternative to traditional classrooms. Please check with your local DMV for approval.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
What are the system requirements for taking the course on-line?

The course was developed so that any system with internet access can display the online course. If you are having difficulties displaying the course, contact our customer support group at 1-800-990-2814.

I use AOL and I keep getting knocked offline. What should I do?

If you are using AOL as your Internet service provider, you will have activity requirements while online. During some of the longer sections requiring more minutes online, there is a chance AOL will knock you offline unless you remain interactive with AOL. Do not leave the screen alone for any great length of time and remain interactive with the screen.

Can I do this program if I have WebTV?

Yes. Many students have successfully taken this course using WebTV.

I can't see a hyperlink or view a video in my course. What do I do?

If you're unable to view a hyperlink or video while taking your course, you can fix the problem by reinstalling your Adobe Flash player. You should then be able to continue in the course.

The timer on the bottom right-hand corner of my course has stopped. What do I do?

If your timer has stalled while taking your course, you can clear your cache on your internet browser. This should prompt the timer to keep moving.

The video I'm watching has stopped moving. What do I do?

If the video you're watching has frozen, you can clear your cache on your internet browser. This should allow the video to play properly.

How do I install the Adobe Flash Player?

To install the Adobe Flash player, simply follow these steps:

  1. Using your preferred search engine, search for the query, "Download Adobe Flash Player."
  2. Click on the result link to the Adobe site which says, "Install Adobe Flash Player."
  3. Click on the yellow button which says, "Download Now."
  4. Follow the ensuing directions to save and run the application on your computer.
How do I clear my cache using Microsoft Internet Explorer?

To clear your cache and speed up web browsing, you must first determine which version of Internet Explorer you are running. If you are unsure of which version you currently have, you may perform a Google search for "How to determine browser version," and receive instructions for each browser.

Note: Clearing your cache will delete all of your cookies, temporary internet files, saved form field data, and anything else you have saved on your browser.

To clear your cache using Microsoft Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer 9.0

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools in the left menu bar (if opened) or click on the Gear icon in the right toolbar.
  3. Click Internet Options and choose the General tab.
  4. Click the Delete... button under the "Browsing History" section.
  5. Make sure you uncheck "Preserve Favorites Website Data" at the top of this window.
  6. Make sure you check all options below "Preserve Favorites Website Data".
  7. Click the Delete button.
  8. - Deleting files could take awhile if you have a lot of files and history.
  9. Click OK to close window.

Internet Explorer 8.0

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools in the left menu bar (if opened) or click on Tools in the lower right menu bar.
  3. Click Internet Options and choose the General tab.
  4. Click the Delete... button under the "Browsing History" section.
  5. Make sure you uncheck "Preserve Favorites Website Data" at the top of this window.
  6. Make sure you check all options below "Preserve Favorites Website Data".
  7. Click the Delete button.
  8. - Deleting files could take awhile if you have a lot of files and history.
  9. Click OK to close window.

Internet Explorer 7.0

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools in the upper toolbar or click on the Tools icon.
  3. Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.

  7. Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box.
  8. Click Close and then OK.

Internet Explorer 4.0 - 6.0

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools in the upper toolbar.
  3. Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  4. Click the General tab
  5. Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
  6. Check Delete all offline content.
  7. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
  8. Click Apply and then OK.
How do I clear my cache using Mozilla Firefox?

Firefox 3.5 - 3.6

  1. Click Tools in the upper toolbar and select Clear Recent History.
  2. Select the Time Range to clear (drop-down menu).
  3. - Select Everything to clear all cache.
  4. Click Details to choose what history elements to clear.
  5. - e.g. cache and cookies
  6. Click the Clear Now button.
  7. Exit and re-launch the browser.

Firefox 2.0 - 3.0

  1. Click Tools in the upper toolbar and select Clear Private Data.
  2. Check Cache and cookies.
  3. - Note, you can select other data you would like to clear as well
  4. Click the Clear Private Date Now button.
  5. Exit and re-launch the browser.
How do I clear my cache using Apple Safari?

Note: Clearing your cache will delete all of your cookies, saved form field data, temporary internet files , and anything else you have saved on your browser.

To clear your cache and speed up web browsing using Safari:

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click Tools in the left menu bar (if opened) or click on the Gear icon in the right toolbar.
  3. Select Reset Safari from the drop-down.
  4. Choose what history and other elements to clear.
  5. Click the Reset button.
  6. Exit and re-launch the browser.
How do I clear my cache using Google Chrome?

Note: Clearing your cache will delete all of your cookies, temporary internet files, saved form field data, and anything else you have saved on your browser.

To clear your cache and speed up web browsing using Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the Wrench Icon (Tools menu)
  3. Select Options
  4. Select Under the Hood on the left, click Clear browsing data... in the "Privacy" section.
  5. Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Clear download history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site data).
  6. You can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information from the Clear data from this period drop-down menu. To clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  7. Click Clear browsing data.
  8. Close tab.
  9. Exit and re-launch the browser.

How do I make a Payment?

You may make your payment online by using a credit card, bank debit card with a Visa/MasterCard logo, or a personal check through our secure server. Is it safe to use my credit card online?

Yes. We use only the latest security technology to protect your Internet transactions. To ensure your privacy, your credit card number is never kept on file, and we promise to never share your information with anyone else.

How do I know if you have received my payment?

Once you payment is received you will be sent a payment verification by email. You may also call and check on the status of your payment by calling our customer service center at 1-800-990-2814.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

You will receive a full refund, minus an $8.00 processing fee, prior to attempting the final exam, you cancel the enrollment contract within 30 business days of registering including Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Refunds are issued within 30 days of the effective date of termination. If you have not successfully completed the course within 270 days, your registration will be cancelled automatically and you will not be eligible for a refund.

Is it possible to lose your license? How?

Yes. If you have been cited for a DUI infraction, and/or have a major accident/traffic violation, your license may be revoked or taken way.

Is there a "Zero Tolerance" rule (Absolutely no alcohol) for teens?

If you are under 21 years of age:

  • It is illegal to purchase beer, wine, or hard liquor.
  • It is against law to carry an alcoholic beverage in your car unless your parent accompanies you.
  • If you are convicted of DUI, the court can seize your vehicle for up to six months. You will have to pay a storage fee to retain it.
